Terms of Service

Last updated 2 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Marek Kosorin, trading as TradeVault, and they govern your use of TradeVault. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use TradeVault.

TradeVault is a journaling and analytics tool, not a financial adviser. Nothing in the product — including anything produced by its AI features, its scores, or its leaderboards — is investment advice, a recommendation, or a solicitation to trade. Trading involves substantial risk of loss. Please read the Risk Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

1. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for making sure your use of TradeVault is lawful where you live. One account per person; do not share your login. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password safe and tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised.

2. Your account and your data

Your content stays yours. Your trades, notes, journal entries and uploads belong to you. We claim no ownership of them. You grant us only the narrow licence we need to actually run the service — to store your content, show it back to you, back it up, and process it to produce the features you ask for, such as analytics or AI feedback.

For anything you deliberately publish — community posts, public profile fields, or an opted-in leaderboard entry — you also grant us permission to display it to other users, for as long as you leave it published. Delete it and that permission ends.

You can export or delete your data at any time. See the Privacy Policy.

3. Plans, billing and cancellation

  • The free plan is free. No card required, and we do not put a time limit on it or delete your journal for being on it.
  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, at the interval you pick, and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • Cancel any time from your settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep paid access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate part-used periods.
  • Downgrading keeps your data. Features above your new tier stop being available, but nothing you logged is deleted.
  • Taxes may be added depending on where you are.
  • Failed payments may lead to your paid features pausing until payment succeeds.

Refunds

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel a new subscription. Where you ask us to start the service immediately you may be charged for what you used before cancelling. Outside that, we do not offer refunds for periods already started, but if something has genuinely gone wrong then email us — we would rather sort it out than argue.

Launch and founding pricing

Where we have offered a launch price described as locked or held for the life of a subscription, we will honour that for as long as that subscription remains continuously active on the plan it was bought for. Cancelling and later re-subscribing, or changing plan, may mean the then-current price applies. Numbered founding badges are permanent once issued and are not affected by your plan.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break the law, or use TradeVault to help anyone else break it.
  • Post content that is abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, defamatory, or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Give financial advice, solicit investments, or promote signal groups, funds, copy-trading or “guaranteed returns” schemes. This is a journal, not a marketplace for selling trades to other people.
  • Post fabricated results, doctored screenshots, or otherwise misrepresent your trading to other users.
  • Attempt to manipulate leaderboards, badges or any other ranking, including by entering trades you did not take.
  • Scrape, resell, reverse-engineer or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, or probe its security without our written permission.
  • Impersonate anyone, or upload malware.
  • Send unsolicited advertising through posts or direct messages.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. We will try to be proportionate and to tell you why, but we can act immediately where there is a risk of harm.

5. Community content

Posts, replies and messages are written by users, not by us. We do not endorse them and we do not verify them. Treat anything another user says about their results, their strategy or their broker with the same scepticism you would apply anywhere else on the internet.

If you believe content on TradeVault infringes your copyright, email tradevaultjournals@gmail.com identifying the work, the location of the content, and your contact details, and we will review it.

6. Leaderboards, badges and public stats

Taking part in leaderboards is optional and off until you turn it on. Rankings are computed from what users have entered in their own journals. We do not verify anyone's trades against broker statements, so treat rankings as a game, not as an audited track record. We may exclude entries or reset boards where we believe they have been manipulated.

7. AI features

TradeVault includes AI features that comment on your trading. They can be wrong. They can misread a chart, miscount a statistic, or state something with confidence that is simply untrue. They are there to prompt reflection, not to be relied on. Always check anything that matters against your own records, and never place or close a trade because a language model suggested it.

Fair use applies: AI features may be rate-limited, and we may adjust limits to keep the service running for everyone.

8. Prop-firm tracking

Prop-firm features are a tracking convenience only. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any proprietary trading firm. Their rules, targets and payout terms are theirs and can change without notice. Always rely on your firm's own dashboard as the source of truth for whether you have passed, breached, or are owed anything.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep TradeVault available and reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. We may change, add or remove features. If we make a change that removes something significant you were paying for, we will give you reasonable notice and, if you are unhappy, you may cancel.

10. Our intellectual property

The TradeVault name, branding, interface, and underlying software are ours and are protected by intellectual property law. These terms give you permission to use the service, not ownership of it.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, TradeVault is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements, that market data will be accurate or timely, or that any output will be correct.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any trading losses, lost profits, lost opportunity, loss of data, or any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of TradeVault — including where a decision was influenced by anything the product displayed or generated.

Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or fifty pounds sterling.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

13. Indemnity

If your use of the service, your content, or your breach of these terms causes a third-party claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and damages that result.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using TradeVault and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that is being used unlawfully, or where we must do so by law. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund any unused paid period.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and for material changes we will give notice through the product or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use TradeVault afterwards means you accept the updated terms.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Slovakia, and disputes will be heard by the courts there. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your own country of residence.

17. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our not enforcing something straight away does not mean we have given up the right to. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours if the business is sold, provided your rights are not reduced.
